Terry Hassall of Palm Beach Shores, FL passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. He was 68.
Terry was born in Florida but grew up in Wilmington Delaware, attending P S Dupont High School before attending Western Kentucky University. He was a very accomplished tennis player winning state and national titles as well as competing internationally. Terry was inducted into Western Kentucky University’s Hall of Fame for his tennis accomplishments and was a professional on the Main Line for 30 years teaching at The Upper Main Line YMCA and The Merion Cricket Club.
Son of the late Thomas and Julia Leibeck Hassall, Terry is survived by his children Allison Morby, James Hassall, Emily Crosby, Timothy Hassall, Julia Honey, his grandchildren Wesley and Rose Morby, brother Thomas Hassall and sister Sally Payne.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 2nd. from 2-4 pm at the Merion Cricket Club, 325 Montgomery Ave, Haverford, PA 19041.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Legacy Youth Tennis and Education Center (Legacyyte.org).
