Linda Slim Hakim of Newtown passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown.

Linda was the beloved wife of Maurice T. Hakim with whom she had shared nearly 60 years of marriage.

She was born on February 15, 1932, daughter of Toufic Slim and Wedad Abou-Rialeh. She is the sister of Joseph T. Slim and the deceased Leila Slim Sahyoun.

In addition to being survived by her husband, Linda is survived by her son Toufic M. Hakim, his partner Robyn Rajs, and his sons Scott and Sean; her second son Naji M. Hakim, his wife Carine, and their children Jad and Yasmina; her niece Souha Sahyoun Said and her family; and her nephew Souheil Sahyoun and his family.

Linda grew up in Beirut, Lebanon and had been in Newtown since 2000.
A proud U.S. citizen, she always embraced values of deep humanity, love and compassion. She was a woman of strong faith who touched many people’s lives.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 10:30 AM until her Funeral Mass 11:30 AM at St. Mark’s Orthodox Church, 452 Durham Road, Wrightstown, PA 18940. Her interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery.
