Dorothy E. Gerner of Newtown died peacefully on Saturday, February 25, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at The Bridges of Warwick.  She was 89.

Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late George Gerner.

Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late John and Emma Boyle DiMarco.

Dorothy worked with her husband as the bookkeeper for the business they founded.  She also prided herself on raising her children and being the consummate homemaker.  She enjoyed playing bridge with friends, gardening, but most importantly she cherished the times she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  Dorothy will be greatly missed but forever loved by her dear family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by her loving and devoted children: John Gerner, Janette Kurzac and her husband Edward Brandt, Joyce Armstrong and her husband Patrick, and Jill Pistory and her husband Robert.  She is also survived by her 11 dear grandchildren: John, Eric, Brian, Heather, Stuart, Justin, Kelly, Melanie, Kyle, Danielle, and Rachael, and her 14 great grandchildren.

Dorothy’s family will receive friends on Wednesday,  March 1, 2017 from 10:00am until her Funeral Service, 11:00am in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954.  Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Feasterville, PA.
