Thomas C. Garvin, the Jenkintown Flash, of Newtown died peacefully on Thursday, February 2, 2017at Twining Village Health Care in Holland. He was 71.

Born in Plainfield, NJ Thomas was the beloved husband of Roberta J. Fassett Garvin, son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Biositti Garvin, and father-in-law of the late Michelle Bone.

Tom was an accomplished Pitcher for Jenkintown High School’s Baseball Team. Tom was an avid fan of the Philadelphia sports teams, he enjoyed gardening, but most importantly he cherished every moment he had with his beloved family.

In addition to his wife Roberta, Tom is survived by his loving and devoted children: William L. Bone Jr. and his wife Maureen, Deborah Seifert, Ricky W. Bone, Gary L. Bone and his wife Linda, and Malissa R. Tryon and her husband Joseph. He is also survived by his brothers Jonathan (Linda) and Anthony Garvin, his 14 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

Tom’s family will receive friends on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 10:00am until his Funeral Service 11:30am in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery.
