Kathleen “Karen” McGady Pollack of Churchville, died suddenly on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Abington Memorial Hospital. She was 75.
Karen was the beloved wife of 47 years to Gerald “Jerry” S. Pollack,
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Kathleen Raudenbush McGady, sister of the late Francis, Robert, George and Thomas McGady, and loving grandmother of her late grandson Robbie.
Karen worked for many years with James D. Morrissey, Inc in their Accounting Department. She was an avid sports fan who enjoyed listening to sports radio while reading the newspaper and enjoying a cup of coffee. She was also voracious reader of fine literature. Karen was immensely devoted to her family, and she enjoyed spending time with her family and her close friends helping them create memories that will be forever forged in their hearts. Karen or mom as she was known to many will be greatly missed but forever loved and remembered as a woman who always put everybody before herself.
In addition to her husband, Jerry, Karen is survived by her loving and devoted children and their spouses, Neal Pollack and Courtney and Lauren Ashley and Robert. She is also survived by 5 dear grandchildren: Ian, Ryder, Julianna, Diana, and Melissa (Josh), and her siblings: Patricia Townsend, Maureen King, Helen Bowes, Jacqueline Saier, and Edward “Jerry” McGady.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Wednesday Evening, January 18, 2017 from 6:00-8:00pm in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954 and to words of remembrance at 10:30am with her Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00am on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Rd. Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will follow at Shalom Memorial Park in Huntingdon Valley, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the foundation in honor of her late grandson, the Robert J. Ashley IV Memorial Foundation, 205 Valley Forge Rd. Cinnaminson, NJ 08077.
