John P. Jones of Perkasie, PA died suddenly on January 13, 2017 at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia. He was 52.
He was the beloved husband of 25 years to Irene O’Brien Jones.
Born in Lansdale, he was the son of Norman and Patricia Reagan Jones.
Born and raised in the Hatfield area, John attended North Penn High School before becoming a highly gifted stone and cement mason. Working for the Local 592, John took part in countless projects throughout the area, including parking garages, bridges and roadways. He worked hard for 20 long years before having the opportunity to retire early. John also was an avid outdoorsman and loved the fresh water. He cherished his time fishing on his boat.
Most importantly, John was a family man and loved his children and grandchildren most. He will be missed by all who came to know him.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his two loving daughters: Amanda Coughlan and her husband Ryan and Nicole Jones; his devoted grandchildren: Mason Diehl, Rhiley and Jaxon Coughlan, and Azzurra Sparango, and his sister Sue Seisler and her husband Randy.
John’s family will receive family and friends on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM with his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at St. Jude Church, 321 West Butler Ave., Chalfont, PA 18914. His interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory should be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc., Philadelphia Tri-State Chapter, 101 Greenwood Avenue, Suite 200, Jenkintown, PA 19046.
