“Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” Psalm 116:15

Leonard Michael Scannapieco went to be with his Lord Jesus on Friday, January 6th, 2017 at 10:50 am, at home surrounded by his beloved family on a snowy yet sunny day. He was 64.

He was married 35 years to the love of his life, Marie. Together they had three girls, Michele, Lori and Dana, three sons-in-law, Dave, Justin, and Jose, and three precious grandchildren, Naomi Brooke, Eden Lenae and Talia Marie. Len’s passion for Jesus and commitment to his family is the cherished legacy he passed on.

Len was born in North Philadelphia to loving Italian parents, the late Alphonse and Carole Scannapieco. He grew up in a close family with his brothers, Tom and Dave, and his sisters, Jan and Marlene. He attended Philadelphia University, and began his own construction company, Estate Homes, Inc. After surrendering his heart to Jesus and getting married, he eventually moved his family to Newtown, PA where he worked at his brother, Tom’s development business.

Len loved opening up his house to family, friends and strangers to offer good food, wisdom, and laughs. He had many friends, many hobbies, many ideas, and a strong conviction to live a life pleasing to the Lord with his wife and children.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Len’s Celebration of Life Service at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 8th at Christian Life Center, 3100 Galloway Road, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by a viewing. An additional viewing will take place at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 10th in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will follow at Forest-Hills Cemetery, 25 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.

Len’s heart was to support many ministries. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to any Christian charity of your choice, or to the three ministries of his children: Bristol Hope Assembly, Hope International and Heart of David Worship and Missions Center.
