William J. Moore of Holland, PA, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016 with his loving family by his side. He was 83.

He was the beloved husband of Rita B. Joyce for 56 years.

Born and raised in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia, he was the son of the late James and Catherine McDermott Moore; and, brother of the late James Moore.

A graduate of Northeast Catholic High School, Bill went on to proudly serve with the US Army during the Korean War before returning home and earning his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from LaSalle College. He went on to have a 40-year career with Beneficial Savings Bank.

In addition to his wife Rita, Bill is survived by his loving children: Susanne Pater, William Moore Jr., Marianne Duffy, Michael Moore (Rachel), and Rita Rotondo (Pete); and his grandchildren: Stephanie (Andrew), Heather, Ryan, Shamus, Jacob, Dylan, Lily, Isabella, Dennis, and Will.  He is also survived by his sister Patricia Wherman.

William’s family will receive condolences on Wednesday evening, January 4, 2017 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr Funeral Home, 800 Newtown Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954, and again on Thursday morning, January 5, 2017 from 9:45am until the start of his Funeral Mass, 11:00am at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd, Holland, PA 18966.  Interment with Military Honors will be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery with a procession forming at 1:45pm and departing from St. Bede the Venerable Church. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Brain Tumor Society, 55 Chapel St. Suite 200, Newton, MA 02458.
