Joseph J. Hudak of Ottsville died Thursday, November 24, 2016 at his residence. He was 80.

Joe was the beloved husband of 57 years to Barbara A. Crandley Hudak.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph T. and Elizabeth Oravec Hudak.

Joe was a former resident of Doylestown before moving to Ottsville in 1992. He was a graduate of Drexel University,Class of 1960, and long-time member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. He was a successful salesman from 1960 until his retirement from Arobone and Company in Hatfield. Joe was currently the President of the Warminster/Glenside Radio Control Club and in his leisure enjoyed gardening. Joe was gifted in many ways. He was a talented musician who taught his children to play both the piano and the organ. Joe was the consummate handyman and could repair almost anything. He will be truly missed by his family and by all who came to know him. The most important thing about Joe was his love for his family, and the Hudak home was always filled with family, friends, and celebration.

In addition to his wife Barbara, Joe is survived by his children, Carol Martucci and her husband Michael, Diane Stellfox, Mary Ellen Butler and her husband Michael, Elaine Zurmuhl and her husband Martin, Janet Fecko and her husband Steve, and Susan Hill and her husband Brian, 10 grandchildren Jessica and her spouse, Abby, Justin and his spouse Paula, Katie and her fiancé Tommy, Sean,Aidan, Lauren, David, Hannah, Julia, and Madelyn, 3 step-grandchildren, Dan, Lindsey, and Emma, and 1 great-grandchild Lydia.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday, December 1st from 6:30pm to 8:00pm in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901 and on Friday, December 2nd from 9:30am until his Funeral Mass at 10:30am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 E. State St. Doylestown, PA 18901. Joe’s interment will follow in Doylestown Cemetery in Doylestown.
