Don led a long and successful career with Rohm and Haas where he held various positions before retiring from the role of Comptroller in 1989.

He enjoyed playing racquetball, gardening and travelling and always remembered fondly hiking through the Grand Canyon, a challenge he enjoyed taking on with his wife, Ruth.
