Anthony J. Russo of Feasterville, died peacefully on Monday, November 14, 2016, with his family by his side. He was 81.
He was the beloved husband of Barbara Yungblut Russo.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Michele and Lucia Scrignola Russo, and father of the late Anthony J. Russo, Jr. He was the brother of the late Helen Leonardo, Mary D’Imperio, Anna Constantino, Lucia Addario and Michael, Albert, Daniel and Joseph Russo.
He had been a resident of Feasterville since 1973 and a member of Assumption BVM Church since 1973.
He had been employed with Coca-Cola, working his way up from the bottling assembly line to a tractor trailer driver. He retired in 1990 after 39 years. Anthony loved to work with his hands and could fix or build just about anything. He was an active member of the Local 830 Teamsters Retirees. Spending time with his family was always of greatest priority and he cherished the time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his devoted wife, Anthony is survived by his loving daughters and son-in-law, Jeanette DiFlorio, Theresa Russo, and Irene and James Sweigert. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Kristina DiFlorio, Anthony Russo III (Michelle), Michael DiFlorio, John Gray III (Candance), Ashley Pope, Alec Eisele, Devin Sweigert; and his great grandchildren, Celina, Robert, Liam, Theodore, Anthony, and Foster. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and his daughter-in-law Lisa Pope.
Anthony was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend who will be missed by all whose lives he touched.
Anthony’s family will receive friends on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 9:00am until the start of his Funeral Mass 10:30am at Assumption BVM Church, 1900 Meadowbrook Rd. Feasterville, PA 19053. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
