Chester J. “Chet” Lubaczewski, of Richboro, died peacefully on Saturday, October 15, 2016 surrounded by family and friends at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown, PA. Chet was 72.

Born in Philadelphia, Chet was the beloved husband of 48 years to Alberta H. Pawlikowski Lubaczewski; he was the son of the late Chester and Caroline Bubinak Lubaczewski and brother of the late Carol A. Stefanowicz and Connie J. Meischeid.

Chet was a graduate of Father Judge High School, Class of 1961. He attended the Philadelphia Conservatory of Music and was an accomplished saxophone and clarinet player. While serving in the Army National Guard, Chet played for the 63rd Army Band.

Chet was a resident of Richboro for the past 40 years. He was the owner of Captain Chet’s Blue Point Crab House on Harbison Ave. in Philadelphia, which precluded his management role of Blue Point Crab House established in the 1960’s. A faithful communicant of St. Bede the Venerable Parish in Holland he gave his time and talents to the Parish CYO. Known to all as “Captain Chet,” his passion for fishing and knowledge of boating and seafood was only surpassed by his love of family.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his devoted children and their spouses Chester J. Lubaczewski Jr. and his wife Shannon, Craig F. Lubaczewski and his wife Michelle and Kristen M. Pettinato and her husband Tony. He is also survived by his 4 dear grandchildren; Courtney, Ryan, Colby and Brayden.
