Willard Raymond “Beau” Beaumont died peacefully on Saturday October 8, 2016 at Memory Care at the Park in Hatboro. He had just recently celebrated his 95th birthday with his beloved family.   

Beau was born in Philadelphia on September 27, 1921 to the late Minnie (Bickel) and Willard Channing Beaumont.

Married on January 3, 1945, Beau was the beloved husband of 71 years to Lillian Lynette “Lyn” Haering Beaumont.

Beau along with his wife Lyn had lived in Churchville for sixty years. He was a decorated World War II veteran and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and a Purple Heart for the air attack on the Ploesti Oil Fields on August 1, 1943. He was a Prisoner of War. He had worked in Industrial Engineering and Sales for various companies which included The Budd Company, Heinz Manufacturing Company and Mitchell Specialty Company for forty years.

In addition to his wife Lyn, Beau is survived by his four children, Donna, Leland, Scott and Richard Beaumont as well as seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and his sister Kathryn “Kay” Whitby.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Beau’s life on Saturday, November 5th from with a time to greet his family from 12:00 - 12:45 PM followed by sharing of memories and remembrances at 12:45 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown – Richboro Road (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954.

Beau’s interment with military honors will be private in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
