Lee M. Bourgeault, of Furlong, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 2, 2016, with family by her side. She was 95.

She was the beloved wife of 53 years to the late Louis H. Bourgeault who died on February 10, 1997. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Ruth Morris Vollweiler.

During the depression era Lee and her sister lived at the Odd Fellows Home on Ogontz Ave. in Philadelphia and was a graduate of Central High School, class of 1939. Lee proudly served in the United States Army, enlisting in August of 1944 and serving in active duty till October of 1945. She transferred to the reserves at the Schuylkill Arsenal in Philadelphia and was discharged in January 18th 1953 with the rank of Sergeant. In 1955 Lee moved to the Hatboro community and went to work at SPS and Fischer & Porter and eventually to the Johnsville Naval Air Development Center, as a Supervisor, Supply Technician until her retirement, January 3, 1985. In 2004 she moved to Furlong to be closer to her children.

Lee was a member of the Soroptimist International of Indian Rock, she enjoyed bowling, golfing, listening to big band music and during the late 1960’s and early 1970’s she was a licensed High School Football referee. She will be sadly missed by her loving and devoted family and friends. 

Lee is survived by her children; Norma Hannes and her husband Skip, Judy B. Snyder, wife of the late James Snyder, Linda Welch and her husband Steve, 1 sister Henrietta Cocca, 2 nieces Mi Mi Moore and JoAnne Cocca. She is also survived by her 7 dear grandchildren; Sean Hannes and his fiancée Tammy Stong, Tarah Hannes, Paul Snyder and his wife Sherry, Judy Kingsdorf and her husband Stephen, Linda Conner and her husband Steven, Christy DiNatale and her husband Vincent and Adam Davis and 6 great-grandchildren; T.J., Amanda, Ryan, Mason, Molly and Travis.

Lee’s family will receive condolences on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 12:00 Noon until her Memorial Service at 1:00 PM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro.
