William F. Ellison of Warminster passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016 at Abington Hospital-Jefferson Health with his loving wife and family by his side. He was 75.

William was the beloved husband of Elaine M. Gruber Ellison. The two had just recently celebrated 50 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia he was a son of the late Frank and Grace Honeyford Ellison.

Bill graduated from Lincoln High School and went on to serve proudly with the Army National Guard. He led a successful career as sales manager with Nabisco for 25 years, and also served with the Bucks County Court System.

An avid sports fan, Bill not only loved watching and cheering on his favorite teams such as the Flyers, Red Skins, and Temple University Teams (among others) but he also was a dedicated coach and referee. He coached all types of sports including youth soccer, baseball, and basketball and was a referee for PIAA soccer. Bill also enjoyed vegetable gardening.

Among his colleagues, friends, and most importantly his family, Bill was well liked and respected by all who came to know him. He will be dearly missed.

In addition to his wife, William is survived by his children, Scott W. Ellison and his wife, Katie, Stephen M. Ellison, and Sondra L. Steiner and her husband, Marc; his siblings, Frank Ellison and his wife, Martha, and Elaine Padgett. He also leaves behind his adoring grandchildren, Jacob, Leah, Luke and Leo, who were the love of his life.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 9:00 AM until his Funeral Service 10:30 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro. His interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, Huntingdon Valley.

In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society 1626 Locust St. Philadelphia, PA 19103 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
