Margaret B. Lewis Martin of New Britain died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, September 28, 2016. She was 82.

She was the beloved wife of Richard A. Martin.       

Born in Abington, PA Margaret was the daughter of the late Alec and Norma “Leola” Pass Lewis and the sister of the late Shirley Taber.

Margaret was an avid volunteer. Serving as an Elder, Greeter, Usher and a Sunday School teacher for the Doylestown Presbyterian Church. She was the past President of the Junior Woman’s Club and Chairman of the Welfare Fund Committee until June of this year for the Village Improvement Association. In addition, Margaret volunteered for FISH. In her leisure, she enjoyed many occasions at the beach with her dear family and close friends. Margaret will be greatly missed by everyone; especially those who had the pleasure to know her and to share her loving kindness.

In addition to her husband Richard, she is survived by her loving children: Richard A. Martin Jr., Kenneth Martin and his wife Donna, Craig Martin, Tammy Thompson and her husband Ronald, and Scott Martin and his companion Mary Shaw. She is also survived by her brother Donald Lewis, 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Margaret’s family will receive friends on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 9:30am until her Memorial Service 10:30AM at Doylestown Presbyterian Church, 127 E. Court Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the VIA Welfare Fund, 595 West State St. Doylestown, PA 18901.
