Rolf “Ralph” Wecker of Warrington died peacefully on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown surrounded by his family. He was 89.
He was the beloved husband of 57 years to the late Else Wecker.
Born in Stuttgart, Germany, he was the son of the late Eugene and Paula Moser Wecker and the brother of the late Lilly Hirth.
Rolf was a former resident of Richboro before moving to Warrington in 1999. He had served in the German Army in the Alpine Force during World War II and was a prisoner of war after being captured by the American forces. He moved to the Untied States in later years and became an American Citizen which was he was very proud of. Rolf was an accomplished pastry chef who received his formal training in Switzerland and was the former owner of the Ralph’s Pastry Shop in Richboro for many years until his retirement. In his leisure, he enjoyed swimming, skiing, playing golf and shooting pool with all his friends. Rolf will be remembered for being wonderful husband, father and grand father and was an excellent example of how to “Live in Hope”.
Rolf is survived by his children, Kurt R. Wecker and his wife, Diane, of Doylestown and Christine Errico and her husband, Andrew, of Newtown, his brother Peter Wecker and his wife Jutta of Stuttgart, Germany and his loving grandchildren, Matthew and Morgan Wecker and Christopher and Angela Errico.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, September 23rd from 10:00 AM until his Funeral Service 11:00 AM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd., Richboro, PA 18954. His interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Richboro.
