Carmela Rita Spera of Langhorne died Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at St. Mary Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was 93.

Rita was the beloved wife of the late Peter S. Spera.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Alphonso and Tomasina Cusati Gotto and was predeceased by her 7 brothers.

Rita was a former resident of Philadelphia before moving to Churchville in 2006. She was a former Communicant of St. Timothy Church in Philadelphia and in her leisure enjoyed playing bingo with her friends. Rita’s true joy and passion in life was the quality times spent with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Rita is survived by her two sons; Peter J. Spera and his wife Bonnie of Langhorne and Thomas M. Spera and his wife Joan of Bensalem. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 10:15am until her Funeral Mass 11:15am on Tuesday, September 20^th in the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA 18940. Rita’s interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery in Langhorne.
