William W. Latch, III
William W. Latch, III passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 4, 2016, his 87th birthday, with his family by his side.
William (Bill) was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (Needles) Latch for nearly 60 years.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Grace Lillian (Johnson) and William W. Latch, Jr. Bill was a graduate of Lower Merion High School, served in the US Army, and enjoyed a long career at Rohm and Haas. He doted on and cared for his wife Elizabeth, loved to travel, was a master woodworking craftsman, and adored his grandchildren.
In addition to his sons and daughters-in-law, William W. Latch IV and Isabel Latch, and Ken and Leslie Latch, he is survived by his brother, Russell Latch (Mary Ann) and sisters, Ruth Williamson and Doris Tatum (Tom) as well as his sister-in-law, Shirley Stratton. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Kristen, Kyle and Sarah Latch. He was predeceased by sisters Mildred Moyer and Irene Nalley.
Funeral services will be held privately.
