Gregory John Smith of Trevose, PA died suddenly on Monday, September 5, 2016. He was 56.
Born in Philadelphia, Greg was the beloved son of Joan LeCates Smith and the late Reese R., Jr.
Greg was a fan and lifelong competitor of all sports. He reveled in the time he spent as a soccer coach and Referee and being able to share his given talent with many. Greg was also bestowed with the gift of gab; he would gladly talk to anybody at anytime about anything and was always able to make people smile with his immense sense of humor and multiple Dad jokes. He was an accomplished self instructed chef whose Baked Ziti with homemade sauce was the envy of everyone who had the opportunity to dine with him, but what was pinnacle in life to him were the special times he had creating memories that will last forever in the hearts of his loving daughters. Greg will be greatly missed by everyone who has had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.
In addition to his mother Joan Smith, Greg is survived by his loving daughters: Lori and Patricia Smith of Perkasie, his siblings: Carolyn Skodi (the late John), Randy Smith (Gail), Nancy Clark (Jeff), and Amy McMaugh (William) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Greg’s family will receive friends on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 1:30pm until his Memorial Service 3:00pm in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will be private.
Greg spent many Thanksgivings volunteering at local shelters, and if so desired to honor his memory the family would most graciously appreciate a donation to a local shelter for the homeless.
