Catherine “Cathy” Mary Garofalo died peacefully at home in Feasterville on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was 73.
Catherine was the beloved wife of James Garofalo for 32 years.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Mary Lyons. She is also predeceased by her brother William F. Bonner and sister, Anne M. Heimer.
Cathy moved to Feasterville 32 years ago. She was an alumnae of University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business having earned her MBA in 1989. She worked for various companies, always overseeing the financial aspects of the business. However, her family was her priority. She was the heart of the family and was always there to support and care for those in need.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Kathy Jeffries, and husband Randy, David Conboy, Michelle Martino and Michael Garofalo; her brothers, Joseph Bonner and wife Rose, and Michael F. Bonner and wife Joanne; her sisters, Suzanne Dempsey and husband Michael and Mary Theresa McGoldrick; her grandchildren, Jaclyn, Samantha, Kevin and Sean Jeffries, Emily, Shannon and Connor Conboy, Nichole, Vincent and Leanne Garofalo, and her great granddaughter Hailey Garofalo. She is also survived by her step-father William J. Crowley; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Saturday, August 20 from 9:30am to the start of Mass at 10:30am, at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Church at 1900 Meadowbrook Rd in Feasterville, PA 19053. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Fisher Center for Alzheimers Research Foundation; 110 East 42nd Street, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10017.
