Philip T. York, Sr. of Doylestown, PA died peacefully on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at Doylestown Hospital. He was 83.

He was the beloved husband of Dolores M. Coombe York for 61 years.

Born in Pottsville, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas and Anna Greco York and father of the late Kevin J. York.

Mr. York was a resident of Doylestown for the past 54 years. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War. He enjoyed all sports and liked watching the birds and deer venture into his yard while sitting on his front porch. His family came first and foremost in his life. He enjoyed the card games played with his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his five children, Debra A. Anderson of Russells Point, OH, Philip T. York Jr. of Quakertown, Thomas J. York and his wife, Wendy, of Douglassville, PA, Jennifer L. Mahon and her husband, Joseph, of Sellersville and Keith A. York of Doylestown. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held privately.
