Joan C. Weiss of Richboro passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. She was 79.
She was the beloved wife of over 61 years to Robert A. Weiss.
Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Helen Kondziela Webster.
Joan had many passions in her life – the greatest being the love of her family. She always put her family first. Joan was an incredibly devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. To many others, she was considered a “second mother,” as everyone was welcomed to have a seat at her kitchen table.
Joan’s creative talents touched many lives: from serving as Den Mother, to helping the elderly with occupational therapy, to just being creative with computer programs and arts and crafts. But undeniably, you can see Joan’s greatest passion and talent in her kitchen. Joan collected cookbooks from all over and gave the recipes her own special flair. Her kitchen was filled with the best chef tools, and she was always so excited to whip up the next great meal.
Joan loved to travel and to take her family to great destinations, Florida being at the top of her list! Her love and her legacy will continue to live on, as she has touched many lives. Her life experiences and her countless stories will become legendary to her great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Joan is survived by her children, Barbara J. Patterson (the late Mark F.), Buddy Weiss and his wife, Aggie, Joseph T. Weiss, and Jeffrey D. Weiss. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Lauren, Allison, Julie, Alyssa, Kevin, and Robert; her great-grandchildren, Crosby, Mason, Matthew, and Howie and her brother, Andrew Webster.
In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Steve Zagnojny.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday, August 18, 2016 from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954 and to her Funeral Mass at 1:00 PM at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Rd., Holland, PA 18966. Her interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
