Regina Ann DeCesare of Upper Makefield died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Chandler Hall Hospice surrounded by her loving family. She was 60.    

She was the beloved wife of 30 years to George A. DeCesare and the beloved mother of Francesca “Frankie” DeCesare and Victoria “Sissy” DeCesare.

Born in Brooklyn, NY on December 8, 1955, she was a daughter of the late John and Regina M. (Cain) Galatola.

Regina was a resident of Upper Makefield for the past 6 months and formerly lived in Newtown for 28 years. Before moving to Pennsylvania she was a long time resident of Jackson Township, NJ. She was a graduate of Glassboro State College, now Rowan University. She was a trust and estate paralegal and leaves behind many of her colleagues and friends at McCarter & English in Philadelphia. Prior to her time at McCarter, Regina held positions at Bessemer Trust Company and Morgan, Lewis, and Bockius.

Regina’s passion was her family. She loved traveling and attending sporting events with her husband and daughters and especially loved to attend Penn State Football games. She was a lifelong NY Mets and NY Giants fan, enjoyed spending time at the beach and was a huge fan of Bruce Springsteen, attending more than 50 of his concerts.

In addition to her loving husband and daughters, she is survived by her sister, Ellen Galatola of Whiting, NJ, her brother, John Galatola and his wife, Kathy of Jackson, NJ, her brother, Robert Galatola and his wife, Jennifer of Jackson, NJ and her sister-in-law, Georgette Jackson of Jersey City, NJ. She also leaves behind her loving nieces and nephews, Erica Galatola and Jeffrey Galatola of Jackson, NJ, Brandon Jones of East Stroudsburg, PA and Nicole Jones of Bangor, PA.  

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewings on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM and on Monday, August 1, 2016 from 9:00 – 9:45 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954 and to her Funeral Mass 10:30 AM at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Rd., Newtown, PA 18940. Her interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Newtown.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Regina’s name may be made to Penn State Dance Marathon (THON) benefiting Hershey Medical Center for children with pediatric cancer by visiting www.donate.thon.org .
