Samuel F. Bocchieri of Newtown died Friday, July 15, 2016 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. He was 84.
Sam was the beloved husband of Patricia T. Bocchieri and was predeceased by his former wife Maureen Hechtel Bocchieri, his daughter Kathy A. Bocchieri and his brother Frank Bocchieri.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late Carmely and Carmela Vitale Bocchieri.
Sam was a former resident of Albany, New York before moving to Newtown in 1976. He achieved an extensive education in his life; completing his undergraduate degree from Loyola University and his Master’s Degree in Chemistry from Cornell University and ultimately receiving his Doctorate in Microbiology from Rutgers University. He was an active Communicant at the Church of St. Andrew in Newtown, a faithful Eucharist Minister at church, and at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne.
