Agnes “Penny” R. May (nee Pryor), devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, choir member, and social butterfly, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at St. Joseph’s Manor on Monday, July 11, 2016 at the age of 89.

Born in West Philadelphia to Andrew and Rose (nee O’Donnell) Pryor, she was one of six children and lived a life of faith and character. She married John P. May and moved to Feasterville, where they had four children. Penny was a dedicated parishioner and choir member of Assumption B.V.M. Church for over 65 years. She worked for the Internal Revenue Service and looked forward to going to the shore each summer with her family. A lifelong Phillies and Eagles fan, she enjoyed laughing with her family and friends, dancing, and shopping for the latest fashions. Most especially, she loved the Christmas holiday season.

Penny is survived by her brother, Frank Pryor, and her children, Terry Campbell (Dennis), Kevin May, Patrick May and Mary Nuckles (David). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jacqueline, Douglas, Ashley, Megan, David, and Deanna. Penny will always be remembered by her beloved family and friends as a wonderfully kind, compassionate and warm-hearted woman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing from 9:30 a.m. until her Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Assumption B.V.M. Church, 1900 Meadowbrook Road, Feasterville, PA 19053. Penny’s interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to honor the wonderful love and care that she received at St. Joseph’s Manor, c/o Development Department, 521 Moredon Road, Second Floor, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.
