Born in Ellwood City, PA she was the daughter of the late R. Wayne and Ethel Mae Kauffman Baird.

Peg was a devoted educator and elementary school teacher, spending many years with The Centennial School District. She was also a devoted and active member of The North and Southampton Reformed Church. The Eastern Star also occupied Peg's spare time.
Peg was a talented seamstress and enjoyed playing bridge. She loved to travel to many destinations. These included trips to Europe, Williamsburg, Disney World, and Alaska to name a few.
Most of all, Peg was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and cousin and will be dearly missed.
