Francis “Frank” I. Rzepnicki of High Point, Naples, FL, formerly of Richboro, died peacefully on April 30, 2016 at Avow Hospice, Naples. He was 89.
He leaves behind his devoted and loving wife of 63 years, JoAnne along with his seven children; Dale Rzepnicki (late Ida), Sandra Wilson (Charles), Karen Hough (Ken), Glenn Rzepnicki (Janice), Carla Donofry (Brian), Jill Giordano (Frank) and Beth Mischak (David). He also left behind 13 adoring grandchildren along with 3 loving great grandchildren. He is also survived by a dear sister, Teresa DeMay, special brother and sister-in-law Phillip Szymkowicz and Paula Sims along with several nieces and nephews.
Frank entered the U. S. Navy at the age of 17, where he served in WW II aboard the USS Bougainville. He graduated from Alliance College in Cambridge Springs, PA, where he met and married his beautiful, loving wife, JoAnne. Frank retired after 36 years of working for a major retailer as a communications manager. Frank was an avid golfer, softball player, young boxer and Chestnut Drive horseshoe champ.
He was a passionate member of the Polish National Alliance, and of the Knights of Columbus. He was active in his church and community both in Richboro and Naples, loved bingo games, playing the lottery and driving the tramcar at Pelican Bay in Naples. His civic duty was evident in his many years of volunteerism at his local polling place. He was especially honored on the May 2015 “Honor Flight” to Washington, DC. His outgoing personality made him friends, not just at the VFW, but wherever he was. He will be sadly missed by his loving family and many friends.
Family and Friends are invited to attend his Memorial Mass on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at 10:00 at St. Bede the Venerable Church 1071 Holland Rd. Holland. His interment with Military Honors will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown at 11:30 AM.
