Vincent Campellone, Jr. of Garden Grove, CA passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at the age of 77.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the beloved son of the late Vincent S. Campellone and Lydia L. (Yanesse) Campellone.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Rudolph, Sabatino, Guido (Guy), sisters-in-law, Rose and June Campellone and brother-in-law, Michael Spadaccini. He is survived by his siblings, Christine Spadaccini, Frank Campellone (Bonnie) and Edward Campellone (Josephine).
Vincent attended Our Lady of Pompeii and Northeast High School where he excelled in fencing and in 1954, became the Individual Epee Champion of the Public School District of Philadelphia. After high school, he became a draftsman and worked on many high profile projects in the aerospace, defense, nuclear power, oil & gas, food distribution, construction and medical device industries. His lifelong quest for knowledge led to degrees in business administration, commerce and social studies. Memberships include many fraternal and professional organizations - Sons of Italy, Free Masons and was a Master Mason. Later in life he changed careers and became a Real Estate Broker in California and finally working as a chef in various casinos in NV and CA. He was an avid reader, cared for his garden, loved to cook and had the ability to debate any issue with his signature passion.
Vincent is survived by his first wife, Mary Lou (DeLeo) and their children Vincent Campellone, III (Maggie), Doreen Lavery (Steve) and Allison Schnell (Mark); his second wife Linda Seilhamer and their children Peter Campellone (Dawn), Stacy Zimmerman, Andrea Jackson (Scott), Christopher Campellone (Danielle) and David Campellone (Tami). He spent his last days with his third wife, best friend & companion, Felicia, who cared for him during his fight with cancer. He is also survived by Felicia’s daughter, Tami. He will be missed by his many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and extended family.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, June 6, 2014 from 11:00 am until his Memorial Service 12:00 pm in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd., Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Vincent’s name may be made to Evergreen Hospice Care, Inc., 17215 Studebaker Rd., Ste. 100, Cerritos, CA 90703.
