Patricia Ann Rivest, of Perkasie, died May 11, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was 66.
Born in Cohoes, New York, Patricia was the daughter of the late Henry Paul Rivest, Sr. and Kathryn (Hicks) Rivest.
Patricia was a long time resident of Perkasie. She was a graduate of Lansdale Catholic High, School Class of 1967 and Fitzgerald Mercy Nursing School, Class of 1970. She had worked as a registered nurse for 44 years prior to her retirement last year. During her career Patricia worked for Grandview Hospital and helped establish the Cardiac Rehab department, as well as in home care. She also worked at Lehigh Valley Hospital and her most recent employment was for Philadelphia Corporation for Aging.
Although she had no children of her own, she played an integral role in raising her nieces. Patricia loved fine dining, shopping and her kitties. She was known for her love of murder mysteries, her dry sense of humor and it should be known, although sadden by her passing, that lobsters around the world are breathing a sigh of relief.
Patricia is survived by sisters, Pamela Froehlich and her husband Thomas, of Perkasie and Paula Minder and her husband Thomas, of Turnersville, NJ. A brother, H. Paul Rivest, Jr. and his wife Rowena of Colorado Springs, CO. She is also survived by her step-mother Martha Rivest of Silverdale and by her nieces, Hilary Froehlich, Emily Froehlich, Allison Pohlmann (John), Kathryn Minder and Maureen Solan (Jason) and nephew, Jason Rivest. As well as a great niece, Presley Pohlmann.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Monday, May 16, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (at Sandy Ridge Road) New Britain, PA 18901 and on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 100 Broad Street, Hilltown, PA 18927 from 10 a.m. until her Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Patricia’s interment will follow in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
