Edmund John DeSantis, a former resident of Bensalem, PA for 30 years died peacefully on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, surrounded by his family at Doylestown Hospital. He was 86.

Edmund was the beloved husband of Stella T. Musser DeSantis for 46 years.

Born in South Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Ernesto and Maria Pollazzi DeSanctis. He was the brother of the late Ezio DeSantis, Ernest DeSantis and Emma Pino.

Edmund was a proud Army veteran having attained the rank of Corporal while serving with distinction during the Korean War. Family came first and foremost during his lifetime. He will always be remembered as a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

In addition to his beloved wife Stella, he is survived by his twelve children, Mary DeSantis, Nina Rossi and her husband George, John DeSantis and his wife Rosemary, Anthony DeSantis and his wife Francine, Paul DeSantis, Joe DeSantis and his wife Peggy, Stella DeSantis and her husband Bob Siliani, Vincent DeSantis, Lisa Viellieu and her husband Dennis, Regina Smith and her husband David, Christina Perrotta and her husband John, and Margaret Scalamandre and her husband, Franco.

He is also survived by his brother, Victor Masella, 30 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday evening, May 5th, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road) Richboro, PA 18954 and on Friday, May 6th, from 10:00 AM until his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 E. State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Catholic Charities Appeal, 100 N. 20th St., #301, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
