Irene Ivins died peacefully on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Doylestown Hospital. She was 97.

Irene was the beloved wife of 69 years to the late Raymond C. Ivins. 

Born in Weston, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Dorsey and Irene Stewart and the mother-in-law of the late George R. Jackson and John M Lambert.

Irene has been a long time resident of Bucks County having formerly resided in Feasterville before moving to Oakford in 1967. She had worked with Dunn and Bradstreet in Trenton researching various businesses for their credit ratings and eventually joined Key Instruments in Trevose as their facilities manager. In her leisure, she enjoyed gardening, quilting and reading and was an avid sports fan. Irene, along with her late husband Raymond, where avid supporters of the West Virginia Mountaineers football program and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Irene was extremely devoted to her family and will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

Irene is survived by her loving and devoted children; Nancy I. Jackson of Warwick, Connie I. Frenette and her husband Jean of Enterprise, UT, Barbara E. Sailer and her husband Martin of Upper Black Eddy, Susan D. Brunner and her husband John of Kintnersville and David M. Ivins of Oakford. She was also the loving grandmother to 12 grandchildren and great grandmother to 25 great grandchildren and the sister of Jack Stewart (Alice) and Ann Campbell.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Irene’s Memorial Service, Saturday April 23rd at 1:00pm in the North and Southampton Reformed Church, 1380 Bristol Rd. Churchville, PA 18966. Irene’s interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Salvation Army of Levittown, 215 Appletree Drive, Levittown, PA 19058 or the Shriners Hospital for Children, 3551 N. Broad St., Phila., PA 19140.
