Robert A. Brodie Jr., of Richboro, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at Penn Presbyterian Hospital. He was 71.

He was the beloved husband of 47 years to the late Bethanne Grace Brodie.

Born in Jackson, Mississippi, he was the son of the late Robert A. and Grace Taronto Brodie.

Bob grew up in Newtown Pennsylvania and graduated from Council Rock High School. Following high school, he served in the United States Air Force and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science from Trenton State University.

Bob had the spirit of adventure and a passion for flight. He flew his airplane until his very last days.  Bob loved scuba diving. He was a volunteer diver at an aquarium where he lovingly shared his knowledge with children about marine biology and scuba. His sterling heart and a special kindness touched the lives of so many.  Bob was dedicated to his church family and serving God.

Bob’s greatest love was for his family whom he adored and cared for in so many wonderful ways.  His supreme role was as husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.  He was a caring and loving man, a dear friend to all who knew him and a shining example of a life well lived.  His memory will live forever and he will be missed tremendously by all.

He is survived by his sons Robert Bruce and his wife, Kirsten, of Carlisle PA, Brent Alan and his wife, Jennifer, of Bluffton, SC, and his sister Bonnie Hegarty of Toms River, NJ. He is also survived by his very dear grandchildren, Mackenzie, Lily, and Riley

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 10:00AM until his Funeral Service 12:00PM at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 1501 Huntingdon Road, Abington, PA 19001.  His interment will be held privately at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Logan Hope, 4934 North 13th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19141.
