Michael Cristinzio of Huntingdon Valley, PA died peacefully on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was 96.
He was the beloved husband of Anna M. Solari Cristinzio for 69 years.
Born in Italy, he was the son of the late Juliano and Francesca Tartaglione Cristinzio and grandfather of the late Johnine Green, Andrea Green and Elizabeth Cristinzio. Mr. Cristinzio was a resident of Huntingdon Valley for the past 49 years. He was a proud veteran of the U.S .Air Force having served during World War II for 42 months as a Staff Sergeant. Afterwards, he started a successful manufacturing company named Crystal Metals Products in Philadelphia. For more than 50 years he owned and operated the business that employed many people in the surrounding community and shipped products internationally. He was extremely proud of this accomplishment and took great pride in his hard work and dedication. He was a self-made man who epitomized the American spirit.
Even with the great success of surviving a war and starting a business, his most notable achievement was that of his family. His main goal in life was to make his family proud and to provide them with all that they needed. He always put the needs of others before his and was a compassionate man. He cherished his wife and together they created a great life for their family. Michael Cristinzio's legacy of hard work, dedication, patriotism, and most importantly family, will forever leave a mark in the hearts of those who loved him dearly.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his four children, Michael R. Cristinzio ( Kathy) of Warminster, PA, Jack Cristinzio (Marge) of Upper Holland, PA, Bob Cristinzio (Sina) of Chalfont, PA and Betty Cognata (Vico) of Cedars, PA and his sister, Mary Connors of Warminster, PA. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren, Tina Preston (Jeff), Jacalyn Sykes (John), John Cristinzio, John Myers (Amy), Michael A. Cristinzio (Kim), Marisa Cristinzio, Carlo Cognata (Laura), Marisa Chiefalo (Anthony), Joy Cognata, Jim Green and 12 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday, April 9, 2016, from 9:30 AM until his Funeral Mass 11:30 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Avenue, Southampton, PA 18966. Interment will take place at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont, PA.
