John F. Yavornitzki of Doylestown, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Pine Run Health Center with his loving family by his side.  He was 79.  John was the beloved husband of 55 years to Marilyn J. Bedworth Yavornitzki.  Born in Ilion, New York, he was a son of the late John and Ruth Halloway Yavornitzki.  

John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend to so many that were blessed by his presence.  Born and raised in Ilion, NY, John met the love of his life Marilyn Bedworth at Ilion High School.  He was a standout basketball point guard for the Ilion Golden Bombers and served in the Navy. He graduated from the State University of New York at Morrisville, attaining a degree in Food Technology. John was a successful and admired Eastern Regional Sales Manager for Oneida Ltd., performing for over 34 years.  

Throughout his life he brought joy to so many through is infectious laugh, wisdom, guidance, and selfless acts of kindness.  He always put his family first and is deeply loved.  During his final years of life he demonstrated strength, character, and resilience as he fought courageously against life's challenges while never losing faith.  

In addition to his wife, Marilyn, John is survived by his children, Susan L. Yavornitzki-Ottey, Brian K. Yavornitzki and his wife, Maria, and Bradley A. Yavornitzki. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Maura and Natalie Yavornitzki, and Kayla, Kelsey, Carina, and Justin Ottey.  He also leaves behind his great-granddaughter, Rhea Hosking, and many adoring nieces and nephews. He remains fondly loved by his siblings of upstate New York, William A. Yavornitzki, Emilie Duffy (Joseph) and Diane Stubley (Thomas).  

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 6, 2016  at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave., (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain, PA 18901 and on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 10:00 AM until his Funeral Liturgy at 11:00 AM at Trinity Episcopal Church, 2631 Durham Rd., Buckingham, PA 18912.  Interment will follow in Doylestown Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Fox Chase Cancer Center at 333 Cottman Ave., Philadelphia, PA 1911 or to the Bucks County SPCA at P.O. Box 277, Lahaska, PA 18931.
