Helen D. Thomas of Perkasie, PA died peacefully on Thursday, March 24, 2016, surrounded by her family at Doylestown Hospital. She was 77.

She was the beloved wife of the late Robert A. Thomas.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Anna Keppard Donahue.

Helen was a resident of Perkasie for the past 4 ½ years. She formerly lived in Warminster for 50 years. Helen graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Philadelphia, Class of 1956. Her career as a claims processor for Prudential Insurance Company spanned over 17 years. After having a family, she raised her children before returning to her previous job and eventually retired in 1994.

In her leisure time, she enjoyed gardening, reading, puzzles, playing board games, watching movies and playing a good game of miniature golf. Each day she completed her crossword puzzle in the morning, and was an avid fan of watching her soap operas in the afternoon. She will be sadly missed as a devoted mother, mom-mom and friend to all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Tracy L. Danberry (Dave) of Perkasie and her son, Scott J. Thomas (Kristy) of Sellersville, PA. She is also survived by her four loving granddaughters, Alyx, Sammy, Ambyr, and Kerowyn; and her best friend since childhood, Marie Harrer Linn.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 9:30 AM until her Funeral Service 10:30 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Avenue (at Sandy Ridge Road), New Britain, PA 18901. Entombment will take place at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville, PA.
