Stanley F. Clemens of Chalfont died Monday May 26, 2014 at Doylestown Hospital in Doylestown. He was 83.

Stanley was the beloved husband of 55 years to Mary Jane Myers Clemens.

Born in Telford, he was the son of the late Frank and Elverda Freed Clemens and the brother of the late Franklin Clemens and Verna "Tootie" Triol.

Stanley was a long time resident of Chalfont Borough. He was employed by FMC in Colmar until the plant was closed and then employed as a HVAC/Plumber with Pennridge School District until his retirement in 1993. Stanley served on the Chalfont Borough Planning Commission for many years. He was an avid Phillies fan and retired from riding his Harley in 2004. Stanley enjoyed his weekly breakfasts with his many friends and also his cousins. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to his children and will be greatly missed especially by his family and his “Little Sweetie” special granddaughter Gretchen.

In addition to his wife Mary Jane, Stanley is survived by his children, Cindey Mingin-Merrick of Bristol, TN, Laurie McIntyre and her husband William of Perkasie and Helen Clemens of Chalfont. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers, Elizabeth Zendt of Souderton, Doris Landes and her husband Charles of Souderton, Miriam Brunstetter and husband Charles of Bethlehem, Susie Derstine and her husband Willis of Sarasota, FL, George Clemens and his wife Sandra of Pottstown, Abram Clemens and his wife Naomi of Branson, MO, Robert Clemens and his wife Carolyn of Eagle River, Alaska and Ernest Clemens and his wife Sharon of East Greenville, his grandchildren, Richard Mingin and his wife Beth, Stacey Mauger and her husband Tom, Katie Mingin, Jillian Clemens and Gretchen Clemens and his great grandchildren, MacKray, Bradley, Landen and Weston Mauger; Elizabeth, Ricky and Juliana Mingin ,and many nieces and nephews.

Stanley’s family will receive friends from 9:00am until his Memorial Service begins at 11:00am on Saturday June 7th in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901.

Future interment with Military Honors will be held in Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of donor’s choice.
