John J. Moss, Jr. of Jamison passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Doylestown Hospital. He was 85.
John was the beloved husband of 61 years to Mildred D. “Dee” Wallen Moss.
A graduate of Northeast Catholic High School John proudly served his country with the United States Army during the Korean War. He later met and married his loving wife Dee and together they resided in Philadelphia for many years while raising their family.
Later the two relocated to Jamison where they have resided since 2001. John wore many different hats and had countless hobbies. He spent his career as a machinist with J.G. Biddle Company until his retirement in 1995. Together with his wife they travelled all over the world including but certainly not limited to Hawaii (which was one of his favorite destinations), Ireland, and Mexico among many others. They also enjoyed travelling up and down the East Coast.
John’s hobbies included coin collecting, model trains, fishing, and bowling. He also greatly enjoyed fossil hunting, an activity he often did with his family.
Above all else, he will be remembered for his love and devotion to his wife and family who he always put first. His legacy is rich and he will be greatly missed.
In addition to his wife, John is survived by his children, Donna Rinnier and her husband, Edward, John Moss, Charles Moss, Terry DeStephano, Mark Moss, and Christopher Moss; his grandchildren, Jennifer Wise, Christy Maier, Melissa Hill, Tiffany Swope, Melissa MacTough, Jessica Doman, and Ashly Holland; and his great-grandchildren, Andrew and Ryan Wise, Charlotte, Caroline, and Chloe Maier, Kaela and Landon Ramsawak, and Emma Becker.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954. John’s Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 AM at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church, 1410 Almshouse Rd., Jamison, PA 18939.
