Constance M. ”Connie” Cawley of Southampton, PA died on Monday, March 7, 2016, at Abington Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was 81.

She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Cawley who was born in County Sligo, Ireland.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Cornelius Malley from County Donegal, Ireland and Anna Tierney Malley from County Mayo, Ireland, mother of the late Anthony P. Cawley, and sister of the late Cornelius Malley, Charles Malley, Eileen Wiley and Nancy Malley.

Mrs. Cawley was a resident of Southampton for the past 42 years. She graduated from Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls in Philadelphia, Class of 1952. She was a member of Retail Clerks Union #1776 and worked for 30 years at Acme markets at Academy & Red Lion Roads in Philadelphia before retiring in 1995. Shortly thereafter, she went to work at The Eye Care Center in Warminster where she performed various secretarial duties for 18 years before retiring completely in 2014. She was a devoted employee and hard working individual for both of her employers. Family was a very important part of her life. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and took an active role in all of their activities. Mrs. Cawley enjoyed the annual vacations spent with her children and grandchildren and liked travelling to different places. She will be sadly missed as a loving mother, grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her two children, Karen A. Schmidt and her husband, Allan, of Warminster and Kevin Cawley and his wife, Christine, of Warminster. She is also survived by her brother, John Malley and his wife, Dianne, of New Hope, PA and her three loving grandchildren, Allan Ryan Schmidt, Ashlyn Schmidt, and Alexis Grace Cawley.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday evening, March 10, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road), Richboro, PA 18954 and on Friday, March 11, 2016, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Avenue, Southampton, PA 18966 from 10:00 AM until her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont, PA.
