Delbert J. Hinkle of Lansdale died peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side on Saturday February 27, 2016. He was 65.

He was the beloved husband of Kathryn A. Richards Hinkle.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the Mary Grace Jordan Hinkle of Bethlehem and the late Delbert K. Hinkle.

Del grew up in Bethlehem and was a graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School, class of 1968. He received his degree in Political Science from Villanova University in 1972. Del was a former member of the Army National Guard and First City Troop of Philadelphia. He served as Assistant Vice-President of claims for Global Indemnity Group in Bala Cynwyd, Pa.

Del was family focused; they came first and foremost in all that he did. He enjoyed gardening, playing golf and spending time in Bonita Springs Florida. He also enjoyed the various ministries he was involved with at St. Marie Goretti Catholic Church.

In addition to his beloved wife and mother he is survived by his three sons; Mark Hinkle and his wife, Patricia, Adam Hinkle and his wife, Alexandra, and Brian Hinkle. He also leaves behind his adoring granddaughter, Kathryn Grace; his siblings, Dianne Schoch and Sharon Seitz; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday March 3, 2016 from 9:00am until his Funeral Mass 10:30 am at St. Maria Goretti Church 1601 Derstine Ave. Hatfield PA. 19440. His interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
