Elizabeth Ann Covaleski Mascoli, of Holland died peacefully on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA. She was 87.

She was the beloved wife of 58 years to the late Carmine C. Mascoli, Ph.D.

Born in New Britain, CT she was the daughter of the late Albert and Alice Moley Covaleski. She is survived by her brother, Edmund Covaleski of Newington, CT, her sister, Eleanor Covaleski of Newington, CT, and her sister, Aliceann Bailey of Plainville, CT.

Elizabeth was a graduate of New Britain High School, New Britain General Hospital School of Nursing, and did postgraduate work at Teachers College of Connecticut, New Britain. She graduated with honors from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in psychiatric nursing.

Elizabeth was an avid reader of literature and biography, and her interests included world news and U.S. politics, solving crossword puzzles, working in her garden and hosting dinner parties for family and friends. She and Carmine traveled frequently by air and sea to destinations in the Mediterranean, most often to Italy to wine, dine and dance under la bella luna.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving and devoted children; Thomas P. Mascoli and his wife Elizabeth of Fair Lawn, NJ, Lisa A. Hanssen, Esq. and her husband Tore of Southampton, PA, Susan E. Mascoli and her companion Philip Light of Glouster, NJ, James C. Mascoli of Holland, PA, and Mary M. Donagan and her husband Edward of McFarland, WI. She is also survived by her 9 loving grandchildren, Julie, Julian, Melvin, Alex, Tony, Nicky, Max, Elisse and Aidan.

Elizabeth’s family will receive friends on Friday, February 26, 2016 from 10:00 am until her Funeral Mass 11:30am at the Church of St. Andrew 81 Swamp Rd. Newtown, PA 18940. Interment will be conducted privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center at www.mdanderson.org or to the Disabled American Veterans at www.dav.org
