Lorenzo “Larry” P. Capili, of the Philippines, age 74, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Chong Hua Hospital in Cebu City, Philippines.

He was the loving husband of 51 years to Maxima “Nikki” Almeda.

Born in Candelaria in the province of Quezon, Philippines he was the third eldest of 13 children to the late Pedro and Antonina Capili.

Larry began his 22-year career with the United States Navy in 1960, and married Maxima “Nikki” Almeda in 1964. Living most of his life in the United States with his family, Larry had three children and retired as an engineering technician in 1982.

Never one to rest on his accomplishments, Larry dedicated himself to furthering his education after retirement, graduating from the University of San Carlos in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree cum laude and in 2015 with a master’s degree in hospitality management. He was also a generous supporter and sponsor of the educational endeavors of others as a member of the Association of Bantayanons in America, helping to facilitate their successful scholarship program.

In addition to his beloved wife Nikki, he is survived by his children whom he was extremely proud and dedicated.  His daughter Maria Leyes and her husband Levi, his daughter Lorma Capili, and his son Lawrence Capili and his wife Carrie. He is also joyfully survived by his six grandchildren Lorne, Liza, Larissa, Logan, Lochlyn, and Kai who will greatly miss him.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Mass on Friday, January 29^th at 11:00 AM at Saint Alphonsus Church at 33 Conwell Dr., Maple Glen, PA 19002.
