Dr. Adarsh K. Soni passed away peacefully on Monday January 18, 2016 at home in the presence of his loving wife and children. 

Dr. Soni was the beloved husband of 39 years to Divya Soni. 

Born in 1949 in Punjab, India, Dr. Soni excelled in school with great diligence and drive. He attended Patiala Medical College and after obtaining his M.D. degree, worked for 2 years caring for impoverished rural communities in Punjab before relocating to the Philadelphia suburbs in 1974. He completed his postgraduate medical training, and in 1980 he was given the great privilege of becoming the director of the Emergency Room at St Mary Medical Center by Sister Claire, a position that he held with great pride for 25 years. He was instrumental in the vast expansion of medical services provided by the hospital, and as a leader he will be remembered for his kindness and fairness. As a physician he will be remembered for his exceptional clinical acumen and the profound compassion with which he treated every patient. Following his tenure as Director, Dr. Soni took on chief responsibilities with the Colleague Health Department where he cherished the opportunity to care for his beloved colleagues. 

Dr. Soni was an avid swimmer and a lover of the beach. But perhaps his greatest joy was the time he cherished with his family. He could be no happier than when he was playing with his children and grandchildren. 

In addition to his wife, Dr. Soni is survived by his two loving children, Ajay Soni and his wife Paula, and Anuj Soni and his wife Daljit. He also leaves behind his three adoring grandchildren Shaan, Sophia, and Ayana. 

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Thursday January 21, 2016 from 10:30AM until 12:00 Noon at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954. A private interment will follow.
