Robert L. Macaulay of New Hope passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Holy Redeemer Hospice. His loving wife and family were by his side.

Robert was the beloved husband of 50 years to Catherine Graham Macaulay.

Born in 1939 to the late Roy & Florence Macaulay, Robert “Bob” grew up in the Oxford circle section of Philadelphia (St Martin of Tours Parish). He was a member of the first graduating class of Father Judge HS in '57 where he also played on the baseball team. After graduating from LaSalle University in '61 Bob then earned an MBA from Drexel University. He worked in the Investment Banking industry for the better part of 50 years with several firms including GE credit Corp in Philadelphia and Oxford Financial in NYC. The majority of his years however were spent working independently on mergers & acquisitions as well as business valuations. Bob spent three years in the Air National Guard. He served on the City of Philadelphia planning commission in the late '70's and also taught at LaSalle University as well as chaired the corporate finance department - evening division. Bob was an Avid tennis player, a big fan of sports, politics, history and a devout Catholic. Most importantly Bob and his wife of 50 years Cathy enjoyed spending time with their family. While living most of their lives between their homes in Huntingdon Valley and Avalon NJ, they have lived in New Hope, Pa for the last 16 years.

In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by his children, Robert C. Macaulay and his wife, Debbie, and Cathy Geiger and her husband, Brian. He also leaves behind six adoring grandchildren, Brett, Morgan, Graham, Connor, Jack, and Matthew; and his brother, Jack Macaulay and his wife, Christine.
