Brendan M. Keene of Holland passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday January 13, 2016 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. He was 28.
Born in Voorhees, NJ he was the son of Michael G. and Yvonne M. Keene and the grandson of the late Dr. Robert J. Keene, the late Richard W. Irwin, and the late Ronald J. MacIntyre.
Brendan graduated from Council Rock South High School with the Class of 2006 and attended Bucks County Community College and Temple University. He was employed with Chick-fil-a since 2005 and was most recently serving as a manager for the Newtown location. He was an extremely dedicated worker and loved his job very much where he was admired by his associates, management, and customers alike.
Brendan loved music of all kinds. He was a self taught bass guitar player and regularly attended concerts and festivals with friends and family. He was an avid sports fan, especially the Philadelphia Eagles, held a black belt in karate and also enjoyed playing basketball, and the game of War Hammer with friends. He also enjoyed playing disc golf along with walks and hikes at Tyler State Park.
Brendan was hard working, intelligent, and had an infectious sense of humor. To say he touched the hearts of many would be an understatement and he will be forever remembered and dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, Brendan is survived by his sister, Shannon M. Keene; his paternal grandmother, Mary Emma Keene; his maternal grandmother Olga MacIntyre, his girlfriend, Sara Higgins, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Sunday January 17, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on Monday Morning from 10:00 AM until his Funeral Service 11:00 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.), Richboro, PA 18954. His interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Brendan’s memory to Livengrin Foundation, 4833 Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020.
