James M. Devlin of Chalfont passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at his home on Saturday January 2, 2016. He was 66.

Born in Piscataway, NJ, he was the son of the late Col. James W. and Catherine T. Lynch Devlin and was preceded in death by his sisters; Kathleen Flammer and Patricia Gillen.

James grew up in the Pittsburgh area where he was a graduate of both Mt. Lebanon H.S. and California University of PA. James was the beloved husband of 40 years to Shirley J. Devlin. In addition to his wife Shirley, James is survived by his devoted children Patrick Ian and Margaret Elizabeth Devlin (Maggie), and his loving Grandchildren; Thomas and Annabella, all of Chalfont. He is also survived by his brother Robert of Michigan.

James was involved in industrial sales throughout his career, and as of the last 6 years he owned and operated JD Technical Inc. He enjoyed time hunting as well as umpiring for the Lenape Valley Athletic Association, but above all, he truly cherished the times spent with his wife, children and grandchildren creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, January 8^th, 2016 from 10:00 AM until his Funeral Service at 11:30 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (at Sandy Ridge Rd.), New Britain, PA 18901. Interment will be private.
