Sharon J. Donahue (nee Gallagher) of Churchville died peacefully, with her devoted family by her side on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at Chandler Hall Hospice, Newtown, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was 55.
Born in Philadelphia, Sharon was the beloved wife of 26 years to Gerard J. “Gerry” Donahue, the devoted daughter to the late Bernard and Helen Gallagher (nee Harris) and sister of the late Diana Chadwick.
Sharon was a resident of Churchville for the past 27 years. She was a graduate of Archbishop Wood High School, class of 1978, and received her Bachelors Degree in Accounting from LaSalle University in 1984. For the past 27 years Sharon has been the accounting manager for Horizon House Social Services, Philadelphia. She was a faithful communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Richboro, and a devoted mother who nourished her children with faith.
Sharon looked forward to spending time with family and friends at the Jersey Shore, looking at old time movies, crochet, listening to music, and many exciting amusement rides.
Sharon is survived by her loving children; Joseph G., Brianna M., Krista L., and Matthew J. Donahue, sister of Brian (Melissa), Kevin and Craig Gallagher, sister in law of Dennis Chadwick. She is also survived by 4 nephews.
Sharon’s family will receive condolences on Monday January 4, 2016 from 8:30am until 11:00 am preceding a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Church 654 Hatboro Rd. Richboro. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to Horizon House, Inc., 3275 Stokley Street, Philadelphia, PA 19129, Washington Crossing Council, Boy Scouts of America, One Scout Way, Doylestown, PA 18901, and/or The Michael Pilla Foundation to Fight Cancer, PO Box 138, Richboro, PA 18954.
