Betty M. Beal of Hatboro died Monday, December 28, 2015 at Holy Redeemer Hospice in Meadowbrook. She was 90.
Betty was the beloved wife of 63 years to the late Henry C. Beal.
Born in Mayfair section of Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Anna Wetter Kretmar.
Betty was raised and grew up in Mayfair and eventually moved to Feasterville with her late husband Henry in 1956 to be close to her parents. For many years, Betty was an accomplished draftsman who had worked at the Arsenal during World War II and then with Bell Telephone and Leeds and Northrup Corporation. She was a longtime active member of the St. Stephen’s Church in Feasterville and, in her leisure time, she enjoyed vacationing at Laurel Lake, NJ where she had met her late husband Henry as a child. Betty also enjoyed swimming, knitting, reading and painting and quality time spent with her family and friends.
Betty is survived by her children, Richard Beal and his wife JoAnn Scurlock of Chicago and Wayne Beal and his wife Alison of Ivyland. She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren, Brian (Courtney), Kevin (Jasmine) and Christopher.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Saturday, January 2, 2016 from 9:30am until her Funeral Service 10:30am in St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Feasterville, 65 E. Street Road, Feasterville 19053. Betty’s interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Feasterville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church of Feasterville.
