Walter J. Fite, of Red Hill, died on Sunday, December 27, 2015, at Grand View Hospital, Sellersville. He was 93.
He was the beloved husband of 56 years to the late Madeline F. Grogan Fite. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Walter Samuel and Eleanor McGlone Fite and father of the late Kenneth Fite.
Walter was a resident of Red Hill for the past 14 years, having formerly lived in the Warrington and Central Bucks area for over 35 years.
Walter was a graduate of West Catholic High School, class of 1941; he received his degree in Civil Engineering from Villanova University. He was a proud member of the United States Navy. Walter worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for over 31 years, retiring in 1984. Walter enjoyed his winter trips to Florida with family and friends. He will be sadly missed by his devoted family and friends.
Walter is survived by his children; Mark F. Fite and his wife Nancy, Walter J. Fite, Jr., Madeline Corcoran and her husband Michael and Paul Fite and his wife Patricia. He is also survived by 7dear grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Walters’s family will receive condolences on Monday evening January 4th 2016 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain and on Tuesday at St. Agnes Church 445 N. Main St. Sellersville, from 9:00 am until his Funeral Mass 10:00am Interment will follow in Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown.
