Janet E. Uetz (nee Plachter) passed away peacefully at her home in Hilltown on Saturday December 26^th, 2015 after a brief illness.

She was the beloved wife of the late Gary R. Uetz, who died in 2012.

Born in Abington and raised in Philadelphia, Janet was the daughter of the late Frederick Plachter and the late Dorothea Plachter. She is survived by her brother John Plachter (Eleanor), many family members and good friends. She was preceded in death by her brother Frederick Jr., her sister Joan, her brother Edward and her sister Barbara.

Janet enjoyed tending her vegetable garden year after year, freezing and canning the fruits of her labor.  She also loved driving around in her ’67 Dodge Dart GT. Janet and Gary moved to their home in Hilltown in 1980 and spent countless hours working on their home together.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, January 4^th, 2016 from 9:00 A.M. until her funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (at Sandy Ridge Road), New Britain, PA 18901. Interment will take place directly following at Lawnview Cemetery.
